Many Truths
These works have a basis in my thesis on a new duality when looking at Jeff Wall’s photographic fictional works.
At speed, using C.S Peirce's semiotic theory, Maurice Merleay-Ponty’s phenomenology of perception and Henri Bergson’s theory of time, matter and memory we begin to uncover a new genre of artwork that sits between film, photography and painting/drawing.

I intend for each piece to be a pure memory painted ‘locally’.
Stairs
An exploration into the power of stairs - how they influence our physiological states and how light refracts around them. Taking influence from Chris Burden, Gina Pane, Gillian Wearing, Robert Longo and Bruce Nauman for the former and Doris Salcedo, Tony Bevan, Alexander Rodchenko, Edgar Degas, John Monks, Henri Cartier-Bresson, André Kertész, Marc Riboud and Michael Landy for the latter.

The Human Condition
An exploration into my consciousness, my perceived realities. Influenced by Gillian Wearing, William Kentridge, Francisco Goya, René Magritte, Eve Dent, Bas Jan Ader, Christian Boltanski, Bill Viola, Vito Acconci and Sophie Calle.
Revelation of Erasure
Exploring a surrealist response to the relevation of erasure, a consciousness of no good outcome, specifically within the Soviet Union during the cold war. Influenced Vito Acconci, Sophie Calle, René Magritte, William Kentridge and Ed Ruscha.
Found Objects
An exploration into Pop Art with the view of fetishing the grotesque of the everyday, influenced by Jim Dine, Marilyn Minter and John Monks specifically.
Inanimate Narratives
An exercise in exploring the idea of inanimate objects capable of living ‘historically’ as per Friedrich Nietzsche. Looking at examples showing ‘what was’ and ‘what could have been’ from Malcolm Morley’s mixed media works to Veronica Bailey’s letters.
Monitoring
A series based upon images my husband and I take of each other without the other knowing - glimpses of our physiology when we feel no one is looking, sometimes consumed with thought and sometimes clear of everything.

Potential
An exploration into the idea of ‘potential’ energy through the study of Vilhelm Hammershøi’s scenes of doorways. This then developed conceptually through research into Julien Berthier and Simon Boudvin’s door, James Casabere’s internal spaces and Piero Manzoni’s readymades for sale.
As well as the below works I conducted various performance art pieces where I put up and monitored various ‘wanted’ posters; a birthday (for sale), a date (lost), shortness (for sale) and hours of sleep (to let). What’s left are documented photographs of the signs during their first week and conversations of interested parties.
The human Condition
An exploration into perceived realities as a result of the human condition under the influence of mental states and physical substances. Influenced by Gillian Wearing, William Kentridge, Francisco Goya, René Magritte, Eve Dent, Bas Jan Ader, Christian Boltanski, Vito Acconci and Sophie Calle.
